Lars Knorrn

Director

Lars Knorrn is a Berlin based film director, screenwriter, and cinematographer. He got his start in London, directing and producing content for MTV during its golden age. That early experience—fast-paced, creative, and constantly evolving—helped shape his visual sensibility and love for strong, expressive imagery. Later, Knorrn moved to Paris, where he began directing high-end fashion and beauty campaigns. His commercial work reads like a who’s-who of global brands: L’Oréal, Nivea, Dove, Neutrogena, Garnier, Levi’s, Wrangler, MEXX, and Marc O’Polo, among others. One of the things that sets Knorrn apart is that he often shoots his own films. He’s not just behind the monitor—he’s behind the camera, which gives his work a distinct cohesiveness and an intimate, handcrafted feel. His background in cinematography means light, shadow, and movement all serve the story, whether it’s a 30-second spot or a longer-form piece. Fluent in German, English, and French, Knorrn easily moves between cultures and markets, bringing a European sensibility and an international reach to everything he does. Whether he’s shooting a minimalist short film or a glossy fashion campaign, there’s always a subtle emotional layer beneath the surface. Today, Lars Knorrn continues to work out of Berlin, balancing commercial projects with personal film work.
