Miika Vaso is a Finnish-born commercial director based in London. Recognized for a visually driven, story-oriented style shaped by diverse international experience. He began his creative journey at just 19 in Helsinki as a copywriter, later studying literature and film in Gothenburg and at King’s College London. His early career as an award‑winning offline editor took him around the world—editing in Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, Eastern Europe, and Finland. Transitioning from editing to content production, Miika took leadership roles in major agencies. He served as Creative Content Producer at Fallon in London, and subsequently as Director of Creative Content at Saatchi & Saatchi in Shanghai, overseeing content production for global clients and managing editorial and animation teams. Miika’s directorial voice is informed by his agency roots and editorial background, emphasizing physical effects, natural light, darkness, dark humor, and beauty—a signature influenced by his Finnish sensibilities. He has directed commercials and branded content for high-profile clients including Finnair, Porsche, Vodafone (UK), Sky Q, Microsoft Cloud, Under Armour, Dove Men+Care, and Battery, among others.
