Roberts Kulenko
Director
Roberts Kulenko is a Latvian-based director and filmmaker, known for his dynamic visual storytelling across commercials, short films, and music videos, particularly in the Baltic and European markets. From his early career in Riga, Kulenko has built a diverse portfolio of commercial campaigns for major brands such as McDonald’s, Swedbank, Luminor Bank, Huawei, Rimi, Maxima, Tele2, BITE, insurance firms like Ergo and Balta, and breweries including Cēsu, Lielvārde, and Kronenbourg, among others. His creative direction in these campaigns reflects a capacity to adapt high-end visual sensibilities across different industries and audiences. Notably, Kulenko has worked on branding films for Panic Ltd, contributing to the award-winning short “Berthold Gone Wild”, where he served as co-director and produced animatics for this humorous behind-the-scenes-style animation piece. In addition to commercials, he directed the animated branded film “Live Life in the Green” for Healtheries (in collaboration with TBWA New Zealand), blending live-action and 2D illustration to reflect wellness branding in a kinetic, playful aesthetic. Kulenko served as both director and creative lead on the project.
